Another chance to experiment too so I gave Laura her first start on the left of the back 3 and she had a cracking game , reading the game well , excellent tackling and her superb speed over the ground saw her covering very well.

After a cagey opening spell in which we had the majority of the possession April opened the scoring , popping the ball into the top corner after good work from Erin .

Erin then made it 2-0 to give us a cushion to defend and we kept plugging away but the White Socks had a packed defence today similar to Arnold last week and we just couldn't unlock it again .

Kiara almost made it 3 sliding in at the back post but that 3rd goal was proving very elusive .

The second half saw further changes with Lily having a trot up front and in midfield once April went off and Leanne swapping with Anya at right wing back .  

Again we had the lions share of the possession in the second half but couldn't find the killer goal .

Defensively I thought we were excellent , limiting the White Socks to few chances . Lottie , Esther and Laura worked really well as a unit at the back today .

So a good work out for both teams in warm conditions and a superb crowd from Woodlands FC cheering all the girls on , thank you .
