This was our first league game of season 2011-2012 and we hit the ground running with an excellent win over Notts County Ladies .
Keeping the same formation we kicked off with the wind at our backs and after a tight opening 5 minutes took the lead through a neat left foot finish from Lily after good work by Rian and Erin .
Erin duley popped the second in and we were off and running . We were playing some decent stuff in spells and an own goal made it 3 after good work again by Rian .
April popped the fourth in and Lily took us to half time with her second of the match .
A couple of changes at half time saw Eve and Laura introduced and a much tighter second half followed . A bit ragged at times , we need to keep that width and switch the play when the opportunity arises more often .
Rian came back on to fire in the sixth with her left foot and Erin completed her brace .
Defensively we looked sound and with Molly coming off her line well we were never in much trouble at the back . The midfield worked hard and it was good see goals from these areas . Eloise had a run in midfield in the second half and did particularly well , linking with forwards nicely , April ran her socks off and played some delightful defence splitting passes , Orla had a steady game in her holding midfield role and Lily popped 2 in to open her account .
Up front Erin and Rian both had their best games for weeks , working hard , holding and laying the ball off well and both on the scoresheet .
The communication was better but there is still room for more vocals out there please girls ! This game is so much easier when we talk to each other 
It was good to get Eve and Laura a half each , they are coming along nicely in their footballing development .
All in all very satisfied girls , you all worked hard and your attitude was spot on today

We have 2 free Sundays now  but its training as normal and Paul , Bryan and myself have seen areas we need to work on , so see you all next Saturday .
