So our second Cup Final in a row took us back to Arnold Towns ground  v West Bridgford who finished joint Champions of Division 2 .

This was a tricky fixture as West Bridgford  had dispatched Wollaton in the semis so they had obviously improved and so it proved .
We set off with the upper hand but couldn't find a way through and had some tricky moments at the back which we just about dealt with . Going forward we were doing OK but coupled with some good defending and excellent goalkeeping by the West Bridgford keeper we struggled to find a way through until Rosie popped up with a neat finish to get us on our way .
This gave the girls the platform they needed and settled the obvious nerves and we got to half time 2-0 up courtesy of an Erin goal .
A forthright half time talk followed and the girls played much better going into the wind as they normally do . Several substitutions followed and we sealed it with Erins second with 10 minutes to go .
The girls have played alot better this season but stuck to their tasks and worked really hard today of which we  are all very proud as always . Rusty at times they did the basics well particularly in the second half when they took control .

Molly - superb handling as always and top drawer kicking all game . Very well off your line too and it is fitting that our longest serving player will lift the double, well done skipper  Clap
Lottie - Nervy start but got stronger as the game went on . Paul said you didn't give the ball away all game and he was right , well done  Clap
Esther - like Lottie and Squeezer a nervy start but you got better as the game went on and got back to your normal self . Their striker was a nippy little thing and did well so another clean sheet is to your credit , excellent Clap
Eloise - unlucky not to score today and you worked really hard all morning . Good passing and an excellent attitude today . My words at half time got you revved up !!!  Good girl Clap
April - tireless running as always and confident on the left or right it made no difference . I do like giving you a go on the left now and again so you can cut in on right right foot and have a pop which you did a couple of times today , excellent Clap
Rosie - great energy and superb passing as always , a tidy goal too ! As normal a selfless team performance , well done as always Clap
Erin - 2 poachers goals and that is excactly what I told you to do , be greedy and bury them . Your movement was good too and you proved a real handful for the West Bridgford defenders Clap
Rian - you too worked hard both up front and in midfield . It didn't quite come off today but your effort and enthausiasm was great and that is all I ask of all of you , well done Clap
Leanne - solid in the tackle as normal and excellent distribution  , just what you have been doing really well since Xmas . Good girl for listening and taking it all on board . Very pleased with you Clap

It was tough going at times today but our girls shone through and showed exactly why they are the best team in this age group , by both playing football and digigng in deep when required . West Bridgford had a game plan and fair play they did well but our all round squad strength shone through on the day .

Loads of thanks to give as always , Paul for the Black Socks SATS test on the bus on the way there ( Cowley hang your head in shame ! ) , Frances for more wonderful photos  and above all a superb crowd who cheered the girls on as always and who were all so proud of you again .

I would like to take this moment to thank my superb coaching team who make life so much easier for me but also want the game played the same way as me and we work superbly well together  gents , Paul , Bryan and James , thank you Clap

I will take the trophy to show my dad tomorrow in hospital , I know he will be very proud of you all , he will have kicked every ball with you in his hospital bed today Wink

So season 2010- 2011 closes with us winning the double and bettering last year which I didn't think would be possible . The girls have taken giant strides again this season and long may this continue .

Presentation Night is next Saturday , so lets all let  our hair down LOL and have a great time celebrating another magnificent season and above all toast our wonderful children Clap
