On a cold and misty morning Warren , Andy and myself set the pitch up hoping for the morning to warm up.
The girls warmed up really well and Molly was looking sharp .
Today gave me the opportunity to shuffle the pack again and eveybody did brilliantly , I have some serious selections headaches now
We got underway and got that all important early goal through Rosie and never looked back after that .
We were playing superbly , moving the ball around well and good control to go with it .
A further 3 goals followed in the first half featuring a first league goal for Leanne which was fantastic
3 changes at half time saw Lottie , Rian and Orla come on and the goals continued to flow .
Our defence superbly marshalled again by Esther stood firm from the odd Castle Donington attack was solid and Molly kept her concentration well on a couple of occassions .
I shuffled the girls around again to give them all valuable experience in a variety of positions which was always my aim .
Players;
Molly- good couple of saves in the first half but generally a quiet game in which you kept your concentration well
Leanne - excellent game and capped off with a very well taken goal . So pleased for you , as were our followers - very well done
Esther - another solid game and another clean sheet for our girls which pleases me imensley
Eloise- good going forward and solid at the back .
April - superbly taken hat-trick and some lovely passing of the ball
Rosie - another 2 goals and a magical performance
Erin - another lively showing and a deserved second half goal
Rian - you were ruthless in your finishing today and richly deserved another brace
Orla - carrying on your superb form this season
Lottie - you played in 3 positons today , finishing up as striker ! You grazed the side netting , your goal can't be that far away
So a brilliant performance from the girls again and we need to keep it going right to the end of the season .
I keep on saying this but these girls keep raising the bar and did it again this weekend . They trained superbly well again on Saturday , Paul and myself loved it .
Credit to Castle Donington who never gave up and their manager was full of praise for all of you after the game which is always great to hear
Thanks as always to our superb crowd and to Dave Mayfield for an excellent refereeing performance , I never noticed you mate and that is a sign of an excellent ref.
Thanks to James & Bryan as always , a superb days work gents
Sherwood away next week then folks , I won't be there
but Bryan and James have been fully briefed
Work hard next week and enjoy yourselves and the result will follow .
