Well done girls today. Difficult game to keep the tempo up when playing sides like Gotham. Credit to them, I thought they worked hard and kept trying right until the final whistle but just lack a bit of quality in key areas.

I was proud of the way you all handled yourselves throughout the game and as always you represented the club and the team very well as did our parents.

Congratulations to Saffy who reached the milestone of 100 games for the club, I am proud to be her manager and here's to plenty more games. To play in midfield and have a ratio of 100 games and 57 goals is quality.

Annie : Not a huge amount for you to do today, the game did however allow you to have a run out which I know you are always grateful for and as always you did your best when up front and worked hard to stay on side which is a skill you are learning well.

Chelsea : Over the last few games of last season and the beginning of this, you have made a massive improvement to your game which is very noticeable. You seem to be very comfortable in either fullback position and again yesterday your confidence and reading of the game was superb.

Ashley : Like Chelsea, your reading of the game yesterday was spot on. You never once looked in any trouble at the back and your distribution particularly in the second half was brilliant to ensure we kept the ball which was vital.

Lucy P : Having to play central defence without Bex was always going to be a tough test for you but to your credit the back three always looked to have enough to see off any attacks. With the score allowing you to play up front, you provided one of the highlights of the season so far, sprinting clear and slotting the ball past an onrushing keeper, which quite rightly got a big cheer.

Saffy : Very proud day for me presenting you with your 100th appearance award. You have been an integral part of the team since the beginning and to reach the milestone and score twice during the match was very fitting and well deserved. Regardless of the level of football, to have a ratio of a goal every two games takes some doing from midfield.

Georgia : I know you have been conscious of your crossing and goal scoring lately but today should give you a big lift. With a 28 minute hat-trick and sliding the ball across for Saffy’s first goal which was the best team goal of the day, you should be very proud of your contribution to the team today.

Grace : You capped a very confident performance with an equally well taken cool finish. The manager of the lads team I coach, Scott, was at the game and remarked how very casually you play the game and look after the ball which summed up your game today very well.

Emily : A performance we have come to expect form you today, worked hard, won the ball back in midfield and threaded countless balls through for the attack. Having linked up with Katie for your now customary headed goal from a corner it looked like you would fall short of a much deserved hat-trick but with just two minutes to go, Katie pulled back the ball for you to despatch a lob over the keeper.

Katie W : Similar to Emily, you worked very hard in the midfield and again slotted in well at the back when required. You deserved a goal from the game and duly delivered a peach of a drive in off the bar to mark a very good performance.

Katie M : Despite not feeling 100% you still managed to chip in with a hat-trick and contribute to several other goals. I know Martin is working with the strikers and was happy that you all demonstrated flashes of the work he is doing. Your first goal, rounding the keeper showed a great deal of finesse.

Hannah : Another player that has benefited from a rise in confidence. We will undoubtedly have tougher tests along the way but the fact that are willing to shoot now and from distance was great to see, I would have loved to have seen you claim your first hat-trick but scoring twice and contributing to the team effort shows how you have come on over the recent months.

Lucy W : I know you have doubts about your football at the minute but for me your contribution and efforts today should tell you all you need to know about your place in the team. You showed flashes of your pace and willingness to close down the back four of Gotham and very deservedly scored the teams 450th league and cup goal and quite rightly won the player of the match award.

Mia : To your absolute credit, when I asked you if you would go in goal to allow Annie to have a run out, as normal you accepted the challenge and did a good job for the team as always. When playing outfield, you looked composed having come on as sub and your distribution to the strikers was superb all game.

Amy : Really pleased to say, goal scorer on your report today. A very well taken goal which has been a few years in the making but very mush deserved. You do much of the dirty work in midfield or defence and today’s game was no different. You provided us with good cover at vital times and if anyone deserved the glory of a goal it was you for your years of hard work.

I think firstly, I would like to praise Gotham for their determination and never say die attitude. Its always hard to keep the tempo up in games like today but Gotham made you work for the chances we created.

We will have some tough tests this season and none more so than next week against Bridgford but the patterns of play and our constant goal threat from open play and set pieces now show that we are still learning and developing.

The most pleasing thing about your display was as always how you conduct yourselves on and off the pitch. You treated Gotham with respect and our parents were no different, when they scored arguably they got the biggest cheer of the day but in a way that should give confidence to Gotham for the future.

As always you were a credit to yourselves and the club, some extremely well taken goals and some very nice passages of play which shows me and the coaches that you are still taking onboard what we are showing you all on a Sat at training.

Proud as always
