Defence : Annie, Ashley, Becky, Lucy P and Chelsea. You all gave the girls the foundation to build from the back and play with the freedom that the game needed. Its fair to say that you were busy for large spells of the game but you certainly were a match for the Forest forwards. But for a few individual errors the game on the whole was quite even and this against a side that is hand picked from the best players in the area so really well done.

Midfield : Georgia, Katie W, Saff, Emily, Grace, Mia, Robyn, Amy. The good thing about today’s performance was the quality and work rate that the midfielders showed. It’s a tough position to play and on another day some of you would have been amongst the goals via corners or pull backs from the edge of the area. We will have to show the same commitment and effort right through the season as you have set the bar for future games.

Attack : Katie M, Lucy W, Hannah. A big ask for the forwards this week, playing as a loan striker is never easy but you were asked to close down and defend from the front which in the main you all did very well. Not allowing the fullbacks the freedom to play was a key part of why we competed throughout the game.
