This Sunday saw us face a Calverton side that we last met in the League Cup final at the end of last season. With perfect conditions for football the game kicked off. Growing in confidence from the previous weeks performance the girls soon found themselves in the lead. Calverton didnt let the early goal effect them though and played some nice football and were unlucky on several occasions not to see an end product. Having found the net eight times last week goals came frequently until halftime when the score was 6-1 with Calverton catching the Woodlands defence square and scoring which there hard work and team spirit deserved.
The second half saw the girls shut up shop at the back and really push for more goals. With the score finishing 12-1 you would have expected the Calverton's players head to be down but not a bit of it, they fought really hard right until the final whistle which is a quality that I am sure will see them pick up some good results throughout the season.
With Emily (6) Katie M (4) Lucy W (1) and Katie W (1) amongst the goals the whole team must take credit for another fantastic performance today.
The defence was very solid which included another good display from Annie in goal, the midfield are really finding their range of passing and a strike force that is scoring freely.

Many thanks to all the parents ect who turned out to watch the match and support the girls.

Thanks also to Martin and Henry for running the line and Alan for another great reffereeing performance.

Proud as always of you girls, keep up the hard work.
