This fixture pitched us up against Arnold Town in our first ever quarter final at their new ground which is a tremendous facility .
Historically this game has usually gone our way but is never straight forward and today was no different .
We were slow to get going even though April put us one up early on with a nice finish . Arnold were soon back in it after some sloppy defending but thankfully we restored our lead virtually straight away and then added a third to give us the cushion we needed .
We popped a fourth in after the break and looked in control until we seemed to switch off again at the back allowing Arnold a second and they also had two other good chances .
We then re-grouped and added a fifth to ease the nerves .
Molly - excellent handling of the ball and superb kicking out of your hands , OPPOSITION MANAGERS PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Lottie - very solid game , your tackling was very decisive and your throw ins were very good leading to one the goals
Tessa - under the weather you struggled today but you soldiered on
Eloise - uncertain first 5 minutes but very good once you warmed up
You played the second half in the centre of the defence for the first time and did very well
April - excellent skill on the ball as normal and bagged a very well taken hat-trick , WOODLANDS MANAGERS PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Rosie - some great turns on the ball and some very selfless crosses and passes for your team mates , 1 more goal
Rian - you worked very hard as normal and crashed in your goal with great power !!
Leanne - you came on at half time and played at left back and worked hard as normal , we just need to time your tackles and your game will improve no end
Erin - a lively second half , you had two great chances which you took a bit too long over , you just need to get the shot away a bit earlier
I was happy with the result but not too happy with some of the defending today , but you all gave it your all but we had enough in the tank and I cannot ask for any more than that
We will await the semi final draw with great anticipation
